September 2012 Wild at Heart Weekend

This past weekend brought beautiful cooler weather to the Wild at Heart weekend. The men attending enjoyed the likes of paintball, gun shooting, 4-wheeling, and ziplining.  We went through John Eldredge's Wild at Heart Boot Camp Part 1 DVD's that featured some new challenging, deeper material mixed with inspiring movie clips. The best comment we heard all weekend was "Keep doing what you guys are doing. You are definitely impacting men"  If you would like to be impacted as well, sign up for a weekend soon!

2. List at least 2 things that helped you personally (as a Father, a Husband, and Christ Follower) from participating in the weekend:
I can’t look to my w

3. What expectations you had going into the weekend were not met?
I wanted to know why my life is so terrible right now, but you gave me the way to answer those questions and who to bring them to.

4. What changes have you noticed in yourself that are a direct reflection from what you learned or experienced during the weekend?
I can hear God speak back to me during my quiet time!!!

5. Any other comments you would like to make:
Best retreat I have ever gone to! Loads of fun activities and a really awesome topic! Perfect for men!

Wild at Heart - August 2012

Had a great time last weekend with the men from New Life Christian Church (and others) for a Wild at Heart Part 2 weekend. Though we had to dodge the raindrops, God blessed us with just enough of a window to get all our activities in pretty much unscathed. The men were all challenged by the material we covered and the group was great about sharing their experiences with one another. We loved to see the interaction of seasoned mature men mix with the often different perspective of the younger men. God certainly blessed us all - attendees as well as the Wild at Heart team.
